Restoration
A return to original condition. Every mechanical component is diagnosed, repaired and calibrated to the manufacturer’s specification.
Renotech · since 1998
We have been repairing your gauges for close to 30 years
01
Dismantling.
The case comes open and the movement comes out whole. Nothing is forced: the condition of every part is recorded before anything is touched.
02
Restoration.
Movement, dial, needles: every part is reworked by hand. Only what can no longer serve is replaced.
03
Calibration.
The instrument goes on the bench. It is not closed again until the needle reads true across the whole range.
More than 18,000+ instruments set right again since 1998.
The craft
Speedometers, tachometers, gauges, clusters and dashboards. Mechanical, electrical or electronic. Whatever you read behind a steering wheel, we set it right again.

Drag the handle to compare: same framing, same light, no retouching.

Same framing, same light, no retouching. On the left, the instrument as it reached us; on the right, as it left.
Work
Instruments that have been through the workshop, with what was done to each.
The marques
Mechanical, electric or electronic, from classic cars to agricultural machinery. Marques not shown here come through the workshop too.
The craft
Whoever opens your instrument is the one who signs for it.
No production line, no subcontracting: your instrument is entrusted to a single craftsman, from teardown to final adjustment. It is followed from one end of the workshop to the other by the same person — and that is who you speak to.
Our story
From the watchmaking school in Cluses in 1973 to the workshop Maxime runs today: fifty years at the bench, from watches to gauges.
